Between the 18th and the 22nd October, the 1st mobility of the Erasmus + “Living in a Rural Area” project took place.
After a year of intense online work between the 4 partners of the project (Portugal, Spain, France and Slovakia), it was finally possible to achieve a first exchange between 8 students and 2 teachers from each country.
When we arrived in Catalonia, more precisely in the beautiful village of Mora d’Ebre, we were very well welcomed by the students and teachers of the Institut Julio Antonio (the school coordinating the project), who provided us with unforgettable moments during the whole week!
Through several study trips, we had the opportunity to get to know better the town and the rural area in which the host school is located. We went on a guided tour to the cultural heritage of the town of Mora d’Ebre; we visited the fantastic “Sebes and Flix Wildlife” nature reserve, where we were in direct contact with the best of nature on the banks of the River Ebro, one of the most important Spanish rivers; we also explored the Aumidiella caves in Benifallet, where, in the past, fragments of ceramics and flint utensils from the Neolithic period were found.
There was also time for more recreational experiences such as participating in traditional local games and canoeing on the river Ebro, as well as more extreme experiences at the extreme sports park – Parc d’Aventura – and the PortAventura theme park.
This 1st mobility was, without any doubt, a week of great sharing and lived in an atmosphere of great friendship and companionship.
